Wellness is often defined as the balance of physical, mental and emotional health.  At Dé-Kyid Dzong, wellness begins with discovering inner freedom which is the space where the nuances of happiness can be present easily and spontanousely. 


The digital world created a restlessness that has seized many of us, a sense that we should be doing something else, no matter what we are doing, or doing at least two things at once, resulting in constant anxiety. 


It’s hard, now, to be wholly and uninterruptedly present, and it’s hard to be truly alone. The fine art of doing nothing, or simply moments of being, are rarely available. Therefore, every once in a while, we should just sit quiet by the river and listen.

Wellness Retreat

Most of the time, incessant activity and thoughts drag us so far away from our bodies that we lose their awareness.

And usually, when we are reminded of it, it's through illness or pain.

Finding felicity- that is, recognizing that every moment of life, whether pleasant or unpleasant, is worth living - begins by finding our way back to our bodies and inhabiting them fully.

In this way, the mind calms down and can function with greater clarity and kindness.

           Over the course of a weekend, let's dive from the head into the heart to gently regenerate and rediscover the harmony of our natural rhythm, in unison with that of nature.
